Here are brief overviews of my active research projects:
I have an enduring interest in Kant’s philosophy. In a paper in progress I reconstruct a Kantian account of prudential reason and argue that it is consistent with Kant’s account of practical reason more generally. In another I develop Kant’s notion of teleological contradiction to offer a reading of his so-called “Law of Nature” formulation of the categorical imperative. This is the first part of a planned larger project to make sense of Kant’s various formulations of the supreme principle of morality and their determinate roles in his practical philosophy.
